There has been a change of plan. The Miss Anba Tant campaign will no longer start on January 12. We’ll make a national and international announcement on that day but the contest will be held from  the 25th of April to the 29 0f May.

Nous avons effectué quelques changements au projet Miss Anba Tant. Nous nous contenterons d’annoncer la tenue du concours le 12 janvier 2011. L’émission aura désormais lieu du 25 avril au 29 mai.

The Miss Anba Tant candidate will have to abide by all the rules of the pageant.

• Only the women who’ve been living in a tent city since the earthquake can enter the contest.
• The winner of Miss Anba Tant may not participate in any other same contest unless she has a signed authorization from the contest owners.
• The candidates agree to release, unconditionally and forever, any claim against the Miss Anba Tant contest which they may have by virtue of their participation, or by any use of their name, likeness, voice, and/or biography in connection with the pageant, including use in promotional and advertising material.

The candidates will be living in a boarding school with a Headmistress and various teachers who will coach them in politics, communication, image, speech and runway walk. Cameras will be following them during the day. A short preview of what went on will be played on TV, the day after. Every Sunday, the candidates will present the subject they’ve been working on during the week. During the live show, their preparation and the classes they’ve attended will be shown. There will also be guests who are familiar with the subject at bay. Near the end, the judges will choose the three weakest candidates and the public gets to save one of them.

Les candidates au concours Miss Anba Tant s’engagent à respecter les règlements du concours.

• Seules les femmes adultes vivant sous les tentes depuis le 12 janvier 2010 peuvent être candidates.
• La gagnante du concours ne pourra participer dans un autre concours du même genre à moins d’avoir obtenu une autorisation écrite des producteurs.
• Les candidates acceptent de libérer, sans condition et pour toujours, tout droit à un réclamation contre les producteurs, employés et associés de Miss Anba Tant , qu’elles pourraient avoir en vertu de leur participation, ou par toute utilisation de leur nom, image, voix, et/ou biographie, en rapport avec le concours, y compris l’utilisation de matériel promotionnel et publicitaire.

Les candidats vivront en internat, avec une directrice et des coachs en politique, communication, image, prise de parole et démarche. Elles seront filmées par des caméras au cours de la journée. Un bref aperçu de ce qui s’est passé sera joué à la télévision, le lendemain. Chaque dimanche, les candidates devront présenter en direct les sujets sur lesquels elles auront travaillés. Au cours de cette même émission, seront montrés les classes auxquelles ils ont participé et les étapes de la préparation. Seront aussi présents des invités intéressés aux sujets débattus. Vers la fin, les juges choisiront les trois candidates les plus faibles. Le public peut en sauver une et une seule.

Miss Anba Tant ap genyen pou l fè leve fon pou edikasyon moun yo sou dwa sa. Li ap genyen tou pou l patisipe nan pwojè ak pwgram ki gen rapò ak dwa lojman pou tout moun.

Pou premye ane konkou a, nou ankouraje Miss la travay pou mete kesyon eradikasyon oubyen fòmalizasyon lojman enfòmèl yo nan ajennda gouvènman an ak politisyen nou yo. Nou espere kesyon sa va tounen yon priyorite nan peyi a.

Nou konsidere yon lojman desan tankou yon lojman ki pa poze pwoblèm pou sekirite ak lasante moun ki ap viv ladann yo.

Miss Anba Tant will promote and raise awareness about the right to decent housing. A right recognized both by the Constitution and the Universal Declaration on Human Rights. She will also have to educate the nation about this right. She will participate in projects and programs related to the right of all Haitians to decent housing.

For the first year, we’d recommend that the Miss work on putting the eradication and/or the formalization of informal housing on the political agenda, with the hope that it will become a priority in the country.

Decent housing means housing that doesn’t present security or health risks to its inhabitants.

La Miss Anba Tant fera la promotion du droit de tous à un logement décent. Un droit garanti tant par le droit national (article 22 de la Constitution) que par le droit international (Déclaration Universelle des droits de l’Homme). La Miss Anba Tant devra aussi participer à des levées de fonds pour faciliter l’éducation des Haïtiens à ce sujet. Elle devra aussi s’intéresser aux programmes et projets ayant rapport au droit au logement.

Pour cette première année du concours, nous encourageons la Miss à travailler à mettre l’éradication et/ou la formalisation des logements informels à l’agenda du gouvernement et de nos hommes et femmes politiques. Nous espérons que cette question deviendra une priorité en Haïti.

Nous entendons par logement décent tout logement ne présentant pas de risques de sécurité et de santé pour ses occupants.

Moun ki seleksyone yo ap aksepte viv nan yon kay prodiktè yo ap chwazi ansanm ak lòt kandidat yo. Pwodiktè yo responsab manje, abiman, ak frè deplasman kandidat yo.
Nan kay sa ap genyen kamera odyo ak videyo pou filme kandidat yo, pou ede piblik la aprann konnen yo.

Moun ki genyen ap gen yon kontra mannken ansanm ak yon apatman antisimik meble pou l rete pandan ennan (oubyen yon kay antisimik meble si Haven vle konstwi youn pou li). Lòt pri ap ajoute ofi e amezi nou jwenn lòt sponsò.

Miss Anba Tanta will have for background the Great Port-au-Prince. There might also be some trips by the countryside.
There will be candidate selections in the Great Port-au-Prince, Jacmel and Leogane – as these were the cities the most affected by the earthquake. Those who are selected will all have to agree to live together in a house the producers will choose. The producers will be providing clothing, food and transport fees.
The house will have audio and video cameras that will film the candidates during the day, so that the public might get to know them. The winner will get a model contract and an anti-seismic furnished apartment to live in during a year (and eventually forever, shall a sponsor agree to offer that). Other prices will be added as sponsors and contributors are found.

Le concours Miss Anba Tant se déroulera, en grande partie, dans la Métropole, avec quelques voyages en province.

Des sélections de candidates auront lieu à Port-au-Prince, Jacmel et Léogane, soient les trois villes les plus affectées par le séisme. Les personnes sélectionnées devront accepter de vivre ensemble dans une maison choisie par les producteurs. Les producteurs seront aussi responsables de la nourriture, des vêtements et des frais de déplacement des candidates.

La maison choisie sera équipée de cameras audio et vidéo. Les candidates seront filmées pendant la journée, pour aider le public à mieux les connaitre. La gagnante gagnera un contrat de mannequinat et un appartement antisismique meublé à utiliser pendant un an (ou pour toujours, si un sponsor se dévoue). D’autres prix suivront au fur et à mesure que nous aurons trouvé des sponsors.

Lide Miss Anba Tant lan vini de yon remak yon moun nan asistans yon konkou de bote te fè sou kandidat yo. « Menm anba tant yo, li te di, m t ap jwenn fi pi bèl pase sa. » Miss Anba Tant vle raple tout moun ke medam anba tant yo se moun tou. Yo bèl, entèlijant e sansib tankou tout moun. Se dwa yo pou yo jwe yon wol enpòtan nan sosyete a e se devwa nou pou nou retire yo nan sitiyasyon y ap viv la.

Haiti has been going through some hard time since January 12, 2010. However, no one of us has it harder than the over a million of us living in the tent cities. The Miss Anba Tant (Miss Tent City, in English) pageant will start on January 12, 2011 to ensure we don’t forget them. It will last a month and end a day before Valentine Day, on February 13th.

The idea for Miss Anba Tant stemmed from a remark overheard at a pageant earlier this year. “Even in the tent cities, one could find better looking girls than these.” This pageant was conceived to remind people that the women living in the tent cities are indeed as beautiful, smart, sensitive and caring as any. To remind people that they, too, are to play an important role in our society and it is our duty to help them out of the dreadful situation they’re currently living in.

Haïti vit des moments difficiles depuis le 12 janvier 2010. Mais personne ne souffre autant que le plus d’un million de nos frères et sœurs qui vivent sous les tentes. Le concours Miss Anba Tant débutera le mardi 12 janvier 2011 pour les rappeler à notre attention. Il durera un mois et se terminera, pour la Saint-Valentin, le dimanche 13 février 2011.

L’idée du concours est venue d’une remarque entendue dans l’assistance d’un concours de beauté télévisée, au cours de l’été dernier. « Même sous les tentes, je trouverais des femmes plus belles que celles-là ». Le concours Miss Anba Tant veut rappeler à tous que les femmes qui vivent dans nos nouvelles cités de tente sont des personnes aussi. Qu’elles sont tout aussi belles, intelligentes et sensibles. Elles ont un droit à une place importante dans la société et c’est notre devoir de les aider à sortir de la situation inhumaine dans laquelle elles vivent.
